Are these places you let, your writing creativity emerge?

    • If I didn’t have to pound my brain w wrecking balls on concrete of teaching yes

I can relate to that! It is final reports week at boarding school (though thankfully I do not board), and I seem to have only two speeds — time intensive devotion or unrewarding — but efficient — mulching of descriptors. There are sanctuaries awaiting me too, but they seem especially blurry right now.

Have you ever worked in watercolours or gouache? The environment in these pictures looks like it would be great as setting/subject/studio if you were having a Matisse moment.

Also… What does that spot smell like?

… and waiting impatiently for the result!

    • Me too

Thanks Neil, for asking. I‘m fine—

If I delve deeper with the question „how are you?“ however, then I feel a certain sadness about getting older, looking older, feeling older. I also feel deep frustration about the increasing autocratic tendencies all over the world. I am also trying to escape my daily trot, to work less, and to try to savour moments of beauty. At least that‘s the plan…

      • I feel very similarly. Life is no picnic, the world is a shocker. But still much to savour…
