MORNING COFFEE

Had to go in early today for high school interviews.

Almost drained my bottle of Eau De Rochas Fraiche, my work scent since early summer.

    My, I certainly envy you! Living in such a beautiful, lush spot and not an eternity away from one of the most exciting mega cities on the globe! Lucky you 🙂

      With your eyes for the hideous and the ersatz at a max like mine, you would find plenty of ugliness surrounding these places; a weird architectural horror that would take you a while to get used to. At the same time, this IS the zen capital of Japan, and there are forests and temples everywhere and I do really love it. As you say, I can pop on at this train station, and be at the busiest place in the ENTIRE WORLD, Shinjuku, in 49 minutes; Yokohama in 22. It is completely ideal. You get all the stimulation and urban pleasure, and then come back here, which is dark with no neon at night, and can walk the hill in peace. The second I moved here, everything changed for me in terms of my appreciation of where I was living.
