In many ways this a revolting fragrance. It still gives me the pit of the stomach jitters – the lychee/ cassis cat peed on my saturday night costume vibe.
But I have developed something of an obsession with it. So knowing the rarity – and that I could secure a couple of bottles cheaply, hamstrings tautened like about to break violas notwithstanding — my visiting friend and I went to secure a stash.
There is nothing like it
I still have quite a lot of my Champagne perfume left. And you are right…there is nothing like it. I’m glad you are doing well and hope you stay well.
It has been HAAAAARRRRD. In fact, you know what I might just write about it all now. The pain is often intolerable and I wonder if I have done the right thing or not. But anyway. We must keep going! Thanks for being there!
Lovely – I don’t get so much cat pee, but too much harking back to old days. I have the squat bottle and it hasn’t turned, thankfully. I find myself using it very sparingly and only when I’m in the mood for such harking. That doesn’t happen with all my old perfumes, which I wear all the time. You’d think it would be immediately associated with something specific, but strangely it just smells of a generic past. Such a bottle, isn’t it.
Yes – this is not like the FANTASTIC FAROUCHE YOU SENT ME (thank you so much – I did try to reply by email), which I can wear all the time and it does feel timeless and just so…….Farouchey.
But Champagne has a soothing quality to it; it’s that spoiled fruit over mosses that gets me
I inherited a bottle and it’s half gone. I’m careful with every drop. I am considering buying a bottle of Ivresse. Is it worth it?
You know I don’t think I have done the comparison. I now have four bottles of Champagne, which to me smells quite woozy and bruisy – I almost wouldn’t mind a fresher effervescent version if that is what Yvresse is like.
Does it bring out the animal in “x”?
Not sure about the animal – but she a classy lady with voluptuous bite – and something is definitely going down
