She – Mori (‘forest’ in Japanese because that’s where we found her as an abandoned kitten). I know it is bad for cats and I only ever put it, when I do – not that often he writes guiltily – on the back of the neck where she can’t lick it, but even this morning she is a vanilla fur ball and she smells delicious.
The musk has come out quite strongly this morning, actually, almost threatening to upset the vanilla.
Last night in bed D had to turn over because of the smell of my marjoram essential oil, which he hates and then said (with the cat lying next to him), ‘and on this side I’ve got vanilla’.
From orphan to diva, what a career! She looks as if she can handle a whole tray with scents. “Oh, no, not That! Try again!!”
Beautiful picture! Are there any perfumes inspired by cats? For some reasons I just can’t associate dogs with perfume, not even poodles!
Wooooow! Sounds an enthralling bonbon with a kick. And the name: Louve! Somehow perfume and scent feel right with a cat, although used sparingly. Incense on an altar of a divinity? Or am I being just plain foolish?
I never feel that way with dogs. Even one of our own dogs, who also washes her face and is quite feline in character.
PS reverse the dog and you get what I think when reading that! Probably meant to mean that
Most definitely. But dogs in Japan are foul. The whole business is, really. They have this hideous ‘kawaii’ cute thing about animals, and yet millions, literally millions are incinerated every year, thrown away, and many of the thoroughbreed pedigree dogs are so interbred in the search for genetic perfection that they sometimes have such feeble brains and just collapse and die or run around in circles. There is virtually no awareness of animal rights in Japan and yet also this superficially pink and poodlish dog-loving world. It makes me sick.
Pure vanilla fur……
He or she does indeed! I can almost smell it too:)-
Beautiful cat!

I can hear the purr and the paws are talking too
She IS quite the madam.
The cat looks content. Are the gray paws part of a stuffed toy thingy? If not, eeek, they are huge!
A case of radical foreshortening only: in reality she is quite the elegant bitch.
a furry perfume for a furry cat

There was actually a perfume in Japan called Oh My Dog, which isn’t surprising in a country where pooches are so pathetically pampered.
Cats really shouldn’t have perfume put on them though as it can be dangerous.
Just ONCe in a little while though…She smells best in Serge Lutens Louve.
A stunning almond cherry fluff bomb.
