I am imagining that the purification ceremony will also render all the perfumes youwear to be also more purified and fragrant!
Lovely. Listening to this puts my mind at rest, quite a feat. I’ll keep this for moments of unquietude ( is that right?). Thank you.
I love the parasols
That is such an amazing thing. Do you understand the chant they were chanting?
All I have around my area are Christians who come to the door to find out if I know Jesus, because he seems to need a promotional agency or something 😉
I do have to say how envious I am of your life in Japan. I adore when you post interesting little items such as this.
Glad you are home safe and sound.
hats, not parasols. Oh, what a moment of peace in this time of violence. Per fuma ad astra, indeed.
THe first time I heard it Nelleke, it was quite terrifying, as I think I had background music on and suddenly there was this music that sounded like the trip out part of Kubrick’s 2000 and one (the ‘one’ key on the computer is broken). I was genuinely startled.
But it actually is quite soothing, and purifying, even if I have no idea what they are saying. I like living in proximity to all that.
just let iT happen. It’s all you can do. But to me it sounded out of this world, as I sometimes wish to be, soothing , God’s in his haven and all’s right with the world.
Me too, actually, to be honest.
Some of these Buddhist rituals really do have that effect.
