I wonder if it really does just smell intentionally vile, or whether they have tried to mask the smell of rotting flesh and fish within the other ‘notes’. The worst scenario would be a standard citrus/’woody’ sports fragrance type with a whiffy undertow. I would rather smell an actual monstrosity for pure curiosity value but then no one would actually buy it except as a joke. What a strange project this is!
Amorphophallus titanum, the smelliest flower in the world. I used this as a metaphor in my play Bride-Cake Bride-Bones – the main character, a botanist and perfume-maker – finds one growing in some dank underground part of an old greenhouse. I was thinking about earlier this morning – we’re back on each other’s synchronic leyline it seems me dear! Perhaps it’s all this needless violence and death in the world at the moment and the need for humanity to get to the roots of its stench. In my play it became a symbol of hope and renewal.
I might give this one a miss.
Intrigued to smell it though!
Ew de Titan.

I was thinking the same thing: looks like a gag gift.

I love it.
I am very intrigued by this whole concept. I wonder if the scent really smells horrific or not?
Me too. Probably not.
