   A beautiful expression. Unattainable for me, my modern version is nothing remotely like this. A melancholy reminder that certain fragrances are forever beyond reach. The gorgeous writing is as close as i will get. I hope this becomes inspirational to someone who can pull off creating something new that equals this legend in emotional resonance and beauty.

   Oh if only some of these pretentious, overpriced, new niche houses would only put half this much thought and inspiration into their creations. Everything thoroughly thought through, packaging, presentation, marketing, all convey the wistful yet adventurous fragrance.
   I wonder if folks in 1933 were aware of how much darker things would get? Sort of hearkens the world situation now.
