The current edt : much more Cristalle like.

But then this also wimps out and goes standardized blanderina.

Totally agree with every word you say!!!!!
In fact, what I miss now is that almost painful(?) sharp(?) blast that I got and so enjoyed. Cristalle was unlike anything I had ever smelled before and I wore it for the sensation almost more than for its fragrance.

I’ve only this year got acquainted with the smell of Japanese honeysuckles. Not sure if it’s the same with ‘perfumery’ honeysuckles. Really interesting smell and it did subvert my expectations with how fresh it was.
fresh but also drowsy .. and slightly corrupt. I love it – but not too much
ps by duty free iris I just mean that fleeting note you get in current no 19 etc : NOT the ethereal and ghostly iris of one’s youth

You would think so but you have to be quick. The Chanel eBay nazi’s are pretty snarky & anything Chanel gets shut down sharpish. It’s happened to me & others.
I managed to snap up 2 genuine bottles when I noticed the shortage.

They call it “looking after the brand & preventing fakes”. My opinion is it’s trying to make official stockists the only way to buy.
Just checked eBay UK & the cheapest EDT is £109 for a part used that looks like it’s been kept on a teenagers floordrobe. The seller of that one has numerous negative feedbacks too. £345 is the dearest for an Eau Verte that isn’t even d/ced!
