Couldn’t agree more — thank you so much!
Such elegance in Sisley! Their perfumes are top notch and their skincare the same. I have among others a black bottle of the first version of Eau du Soir..I treasure it like gold.
Thank you so much, dear Neil, for sharing this. Great to know you’re a Sisley fan too.
I am. And need to smell that uncompromising green you mention.
If I could just comment without filling in all the ‘necessary info’ on other blogs I would be a much more frequent commentator
Hope you get to smell it soon, dear Neil. Must see how I can change that setting. Thanks for letting me know.
Not your setting – they are all like that, mine too I imagine
I am just so hassle-averse !
😂
I also love Sisley and have worn Eau du Soir for nearly two decades now, since I was pregnant with Tom and could not abide to wear anything with a hint of sweetness. (And now he’s at university. That went quickly). There’s also something rather haughty and amusing about this aristocratic family. I can just imagine them in a Medici palace, shuddering disdainfully at the mere idea of an oud/vanilla/caramel combo, or whatever. Their fragrances are pretty good value compared to their skin care and make-up, which are also excellent. We’re talking nearly three figures for a moisturiser or foundation. Bonkers price points! Somehow they sell, though, and I have been known to join their list of approving customers. A definite fan x
I would love to try their skin creams. As you say there is something quite rarified about them. I can still smell you in Rose forgot the name at karaoke
Sour de (du?) Lune. I think you describe it as a witchy rose chypre. I think i asphyxiated most of us with it x
It’s a good memory
