       I haven‘t the slightest idea who David Sylvian is 😂 but for me — in this case — JAPAN is Japan.

       As it should be!

       I think my lifelong adoration of the pop group Japan probably did have some influence on my coming here though, actually (I didn’t realize this until much later )

     Ooh nice to hear though – we gave a copy of Tin Drum ( possibly my favourite album of all time ) to one of D’s nephews. An extraordinary LP !

     It was. A genius. But also Steve Nye’s production – them hearing Ryuichi Sakamoto’s (RIP) B2Unit and getting a totally new sound that pulled them away from the Roxy Music plagiarism accusations.

     I love Sylvian’s first three solo albums as well.
