It is so tragic. My oldest son lived in L.A. for most of his adult life. It was only about a year ago, he decided to move back to Maryland because he wanted to buy a house, and could not afford to buy one in California. I am glad he is not longer living in L.A., although I used to love to visit him there.
david lynch: twin peaks, blue velvet, wild at heart, mulholland drive, lost highway. these films and series I find the best. magical realism or neopost dada antifilms. he also made totally crazy and almost inintelligent microfilms with a songstress 50-ish, in a cute pink satin dress but with revolting tumors on the face. singing something like ‘is this all there is…’. finding the ear in the grass by kyle mclachlan in blue velvet. totally unconformistic and counter cultural culture conaisseurisms.
hahahahaha
and the blazing Hard Rock intro of Wild at Heart. with ditto graphic violence. my twinbrother Bas liked this film most, while I was more a Blue Velvet person. we could stand graphic viscerality in films bc we have been nurses for 45 years.
And THAT, he was, indeed.
Would love to hear on what you mean here in detail – I was never an enslaved Lynchian – but it can wait, unless it cannot

glad he found somewhere – but LA remains magical
David Lynch was instinctively drawn to the place
