My Mother Is Here

Now what perfume shall I have her wear today?

Dad has been given a bottle of Eau Sauvage Extreme; with mum we are either going with Nocturnes, Nina parfum (original); Ma Griffe; White Linen (perfume), Oscar (parfum) or No 22 (vintage).

It is a gorgeous sunny day, and we are going to walk through the woods to Kamakura. I look forward to the scent of light, leaves, damp earth, plum blossom, and a trail of beautiful perfume.

  1. Am I mistaken or were you not long ago visiting your Mum and Dad in England?
If I am right, it is a double-dose within a very short period of time. Of course, that is how it sometimes happens…and then you won’t see each other for quite a while. However, enjoy them while you have them with you…as for the perfumes they will be wearing, I’m sure they are in good hands and will both be fragrantly beautiful.

    • Actually it was last March I went back for the jasmine awards, but a year just seems to have flown by. They really seem to be enjoying being here again. They have never been here in Spring when the cherry blossom is out and today the weather was glorious.

Have a wonderful time with them Neil. There’s something lovely and light in your writing here! kamakura spring! Dante’s coming home on Sunday for a week and i can’t wait to see him. Your folks will have a wonderful time with you out there.

  4. Sounds like a wonderful time. What did she end up wearing? I would have chosen Ma Griffe or Nina, but the natural scents of the environment you describe sound even more arresting.
Hope you all gave a smashing time together.

  5. It would be hard for me to pick anything other than Nocturnes, I love it so! Enjoy this time with your parents and my Dad is an Eau Sauvage guy, but the classic version.
