I reek of ginger these days.
Diluting and blending an entire bottle of the essential oil in a tub of extra virgin coconut oil (melted and resolidified in the refrigerator), this has made a glad salve and excellent treatment for all of my recent ailments, and with palpable results: there is no better natural remedy for damaged or sensitive stomachs or for rallying up the joints when they are inflamed.
Give me ginger!!

Such a great remedy. A good reminder to make myself some ginger-infused tea! R
It really is good for everything.
Do you have any other ginger based fragrance recommendations?
Berdoues Grand Cru Arz el Rab with notes of ginger, iris and Lebanese cedarwood. On most days my skin emanates the cedarwood but today in frigid weather it borders on the gourmand as a woody, gingery cocoa infused iris….really loving it. Also, Pacifica’s Tibetan Mountain Temple which has ginger as a top note.
Yes! I love that Pacifica -I once had the solid and it was delicious.
As for Berdoues, I thought they only did their classic violets. This gingery confection sounds very appealing.
I know…I gave it to you….and you finished it?
It is the Cologne Grand Cru…we have four full bottles in the house…the bottles are lovely, the scents are good or great and the price is outstanding for niche…
I cannot BELIEVE how many of these there are! I go for exactly this kind of scent.
Thanks for the tip off.
If you come across them in the wild do give them a try…
I most certainly will!
Oh yes! L’Artisan Parfumeur Tea For Two and Etat Libre d’Orange Like This are standouts for me. Have you tried them?
Tea For Two is a staple – very nice
Bel Ami Vetiver has a slightly crystalised ginger note in the opening; my husband wears it and I really like it. Hope you’re feeling better very soon. Ginger tea always feels like it would cure anything.
Actually I did like Bel Ami Vetiver the couple of times I have smelled it- a couple of weeks ago at Hermes in Tokyo I asked to sample it again but they didn’t have it
