returning …… JE REVIENS by WORTH ( 1932 ).
Somehow you’ve managed to capture the essence of Je Reviens. How you do this is simply extraordinary. I remember this, and I have a mini floating about in The Sample Sea (aka gyre). Even the name is evocative of what’s to come …
The whole thing is an enigma, which is why I just went with instinctive, looser language. Trying to properly evoke a perfume like this is like conjuring a spirit: you have to lose yourself slightly.
beautiful! sadly just polished off my only lovely little vintage bottle a week or so ago, happily just found another very promising looking bottle on ebay (’tis so nice and affordable always). In the meantime I am wearing a gorgeous (and I think entirely obscure French creation) bottle of peony eau de toilette that you gave me many moons ago, before Beau was born…it has proved perfect for this Spring, thank you, as ever.xxx
I remember its powdery bitterness brilliantly….x
