I have to say that I find the picture of your Mother enchanting. She is obviously so pleased by your gift from afar. I tend to celebrate my birthday with my daughters in far flung corners of the world. When I know they have remembered my birthday, it makes my Mom heart happy.
Yes, I felt the warmth seeing this picture! Is your mother visiting NYC as a birthday celebration? I noticed the Flatiron Building in the background. I hope she is enjoying the USA.
Like the USA, Brazil is a divided nation. I’m so over the divisions. I do, however, want to be back in the USA to march in the numerous protests to protect the Mueller investigation. But I also want to be in Scotland, away from it all, hiding away from the whole world.
The flowers are just lovely, but Mom’s smile steals the show ! My mother passed earlier this year ! Chanel no.5,White Linen and Emeraude were mainstays ! She later fell in love with vintage Oscar,Valentino V,and Guerlain Idylle. She wore them Well ! !
Sorry to hear about your mother – I can’t imagine what that must be like and have always dreaded it. Are these perfumes like a solace now for you when you smell them or is it too painful?
My Mom’s favorite was L’Heure Bleue, which I introduced to her. Before that she wore Coty Emeraude and Revlon Intimate.
Powdery loveliness.
Yes, I love it!

This is lovely to read. I agree – there is a lovely warmth to this which is why I felt like sharing it (in these grim, miserable times).

My dad whisked her off to NYC, a place, unbelievably, I have never been, and they have been loving it.
Even with that monster lurking somewhere in the orange undergrowth.
How’s Brazil under a fascist fuck?
